MAY 20, 1989 (Saturday) 2:00 p.m.

Right before my sweetest Daddy and I were to walk down to my awaiting groom, I thought to myself “Now why did we choose 2 p.m.? It is my naptime and I get looney around 2 whether it is 2:00 a.m. or p.m. (EVERY time our Flying Solo group hung out, they KNEW we were gonna have the most fun at 2:00 a.m. because I would laugh, snort then cry and everyone was joining in. - whether it was “the Holy Grail” or sausage kolaches at Dunkin’ Donuts (esp. With Mark Noack and Don)

(Actually, Keith’s reason for 2:00 was so we could hit the road earlier - Honeymoon night in Wichita Falls - but that news will be in a later post ;) )

Anyway, we are going down the aisle and I’m shaking like a leaf! I could blame it solely on my familia

tremor, but I truly was nervous! Cathy Flynt (Party Cathy later coined by my son, Andrew) had already sung “Til there Was You” and “That’s All I Ask of You” and Lisa Ravert played the flute (I believe it was Bach but right now can’t remember.)

I trembled as I gave a rose to both Alene and my Momma. I remember Lee Ann and Aunt JoAnn laughing - oh well! So I shake a bit! - ha!

The hardest part was putting on the rings. He put his on mine quite easily but I had the worst time with his ring!! Maybe it was a sign? LOL - just teasing.

Mary sang “The Lord’s Prayer” as we knelt together and prayed. Mike, the pastor, whispered to her “that was beautiful!” (Love, Loved that man!)

Then Mike Nichols (pastor) said “Honor, Cherish and all that stuff” and we both said “I Do!” Keith lifted up my veil (always wanted this at my wedding) and gently kissed my lips. It really was perfect! “And now I pronounce you Husband and Wife!”

WE DID IT! Sadie, Sadie Married Lady! I always loved this pic! BOTH happy and Keith has a "Sorry guys, She's taken! I got my woman!!"

Left - everyone visiting and relaxing right after the wedding

Below - Keith and I discussing our trip to Colorado (honeymoon)

Added Bonus - Awaiting my precious Steve Knagg (photographer and NOW bro-in-law) to call us for family pictures.

(you know 33 years later, I wouldn't change anything about our wedding!)
