August Angst - 1980

August 2, 1980 (Saturday)

I have so many things to bring up. Friday nite I went out with Scott Fundling. (Cheryl’s old boyfriend). We went dancing at Flannigan’s. I had a blast! The best time I’ve had since Tracy & I at Old Settler’s Reunion.

I told Gerald I didn’t want to see him anymore. At least he won’t call.

Jim’s still calling. I haven’t seen him since a week ago though.

I saw Boobah Margaret today. She spent the nite last nite. She’s cuter than ever.

I register for school August 18. I’m not sure what all to take.

Dee Ann, Mary & John came over tonight to see “Dracula” on cable T.V. with Frank Langella. I loved it. The last time I saw it was with Dee Ann, Ryan & of course, Tracy; which reminds me of the big news. Las weekend, Dee Ann came down to the cabin. Sunday nite, I was taking a nap & the door knocked. Dee Ann went to answer it & it was no other than Tracy himself. I flipped! He asked me out for next weekend, August 9. I still can’t quite believe it. Of course, I’m having so much fun dating Scott and Jim (especially Scott), I’m not so sure I want to date one guy. I’ll have to wait, I guess.

Tonight Scott & I went to Farrell’s Ice Cream parlor & then to Dee Ann’s. He’s going to Southwest Texas (her college) next year and they wanted to talk. I had a good time. He likes me a lot, I can tell. We’re going out again Wed. or Thursday. (Preferably Thursday).

I’m pretty sure Mom, Dad & I are going to Colorado Labor Day Weekend. We’ll go Weds. nite & stay thru Monday. I’ll have to get off 2 ½ days from work. I hope I can.

Jim called tonite & wanted me to go to a movie. But I couldn’t coz I was going out with Scott.
