January 11, 1982 Monday

You’ll never believe who I just talked to for 3 hours & ½? Thomas. Oh yes, the guy I was so flipped over in the latter summer and first of Fall.

We talked about everything, including the night he kissed me. Actually my crush began June 20th 1981 at Caruso’s/first kiss was Sept. 1, 1981 & after that nite we didn’t really see or talk to each other until tonite. That’s too damn long. It’s all what I thought. He was scared of a steady relationship, so he backed off. It’s all because of his mother. Thomas told me tonite that she griped him out Sept. 1st for kissing me. She apparently spied. That’s sick. Oh well, now we’re totally open, I’m so glad. I never really got over him.

I’ve got to go!

P.S. It’s been 7 and 8 degrees here. It’s supposed to sleet & snow tonite. It better.

(I’m not interested in anybody).

January 28, 1982 Thursday

Today is my 21st birthday! I feel no different. But my plans for life are becoming more settled all the time. Last week, I gave my 2 week notice at G.A.R.C.

YES! I got a job! Starting Feb 8, I’ll be a Word Processor trainee at “Alexander & Alexander Insurance Company. (Agency). It starts at $900 a month. I’m so excited!!

YIPPPEEE!

Mom & Dad took me to Steak & Ale. I had lobster. (Yumbo Scrumbo). The waiters & waitresses sang Happpy Birthday & gave me some cheesecake. For my gift, I got a cassette tape recorder & player (Dolby Stereo) that hooks to my record player. That’s what I was hoping for.

I’ve had a great birthday! So far, better than last year (Even when I had Carl).

I’m not interested in anyone at all!!!

& I don’t care, believe it or not!!!

February 11, 1982

Today is Kevin & Kathleen’s birthday. Both are 21.

I never did write & tell about my WHOLE birthday. Well, Cam gave me a surprise birthday party. I was truly surprised! I’m so glad. I had a tremendous time.

A guy, Rodney Paris, wrote me once right before my birthday & again yesterday. I met him with Kim Bebe at one of my parties. He’s a sweetie!

My new job is GREAT!
