Tuesday
I just wanted to say that everything has been quite different, but enjoyable lately. I have been much more active ever since my wreck.
Every Sunday I have church. Yes, I have started church again. I enjoy it. I am attending Axe Methodist church. (I used to be a member there a long time ago, Mom used to be Choir Director there.)
Every Monday (and whenever else possible) I go to Richard Simmons to work out. (2021 - I went with Keith Rice every time.)
Every Tuesday is my voice lesson, then I usually go to Mom and Dad’s (with Barry between classes.)
Every Wednesday I have Church Choir practice.

Every Thursday I try to go work out and then I relax. (My night to do what I please) (Watch Cosby, Family Ties, Cheers, Night Court and Knots Landing)
Every Friday Barry and I relax.
Every Saturday I try to go somewhere with Barry.
Barry is moving into his apartment today. His first one. I’m excited for him. He needs some kind of sofa bed at this point, but his other furniture is fine.
I DO have a new car. I got another Regal (1984). This one has power everything and is much nicer than the last car. As of today, the legal junk is still not settled. I should still have a lot of more money coming to me. (Of course, all of it goes to my car.)

(2021 - By the way, I have a BAAAAD reputation for wrecks - these first two and (also) another 2 or 3 definitely were not my fault - Just sayin)
Bryant and Therese are definitely divorced. I’m finally getting used to the idea. I also realize that Bryant will be dating other girls. (I honestly don’t think Therese will date for a while. She ought to, but she won’t.) Bryant and I had a good talk last night (not long enough) but it was good for both of us.
It’s almost time for the STATE FAIR! Yea!!! We’re trying to find a day that everyone can go. I don’t think John and Mary are going at all. Bryant and Therese (Yes, I said Bryant AND Therese) and the kids want to go Monday, the 15th, but I’ve already asked off for the 16th. If Barry can get off the 15th, I’ll switch days. I hope we get everything worked out.

Wednesday
Early this morning, I typed Bryant a letter telling him how much our conversation met to me Monday night. (Copy of the letter is on next page.) I have really thought about him a lot today and I feel very loving today. What’s so great, is he read my thoughts and just called me to tell me how much he loved me. It’s as if he already received my letter. That’s strange and wonderful. He told me on the phone that he didn’t say it enough so he thought he’d just call and say he loves me as a sister and especially because I’m a wonderful, special person. That was just adorable on his part. I’m glad I typed that letter. I do love him with all my heart, and hope the best for him always.

Tonight Barry and I are going to Sears and Montgomery Wards. Both stores are having a good sofa bed sale. I hope he gets one. His apartment is really cute. From the way he described it, I thought it was going to be a rat trap, but it was in a lot of ways cuter than mine. The kitchen is much more spacious. Right now, he has a mattress on the floor, a yellow reclining lawn chair, a card table, a director’s chair and t.v. and stereo. I will give him a yellow, cushy chair and maybe a kitchen table that’s over at Nana’s. (I hope he’ll take it, because it will be in good use later when we get married.)

Monday
Today is exactly our one year anniversary since Barry and I had our first date. I DO love him. I have never dated anyone as long.

Saturday night, we went to Red Lobster and then to see the movie Places in the Heart with Sally Field. It was very good. Kae Lyn Cody and her boyfriend, Rob, were at the theatre and we sat with them. They are a lot of fun. I see her more than I see Dee Ann; one reason is because Kae cuts my hair and I had just seen her last Sunday when she came over to my apartment. I need to call DeeAnn.
This Saturday, the 13th, Kae is going to put a permanent in my “short” hair.

Yesterday Bryant III was four years old. Mom and Dad said they went over to Therese’s last night and both Therese and Bryant were there.

Tuesday
Yesterday, Mom, Dad, Barry, Bryant, Therese and the kids went to the State Fair. We had a blast! Probably the best time I’ve had yet. We stayed from about 12:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Bryant and the kids left about 6:30, and Mom and Dad left about 9:00. The kids were awfully sweet and cute.

Friday
Tonight Sherri, Kevin and I (maybe Bradley and Bob) are going to the South Garland vs. North Garland game. Afterwards, we’re picking Robert up and going to Barry’s new apartment. I should have a blast.
Tomorrow is Mom and Dad’s 33rd anniversary. Melanie Moseley is getting married tomorrow. I will ride with DeeAnn and Brian. Later, that night, Brian, DeeAnn, Barry and I are going out to see A Soldier’s Story.

Tuesday
I am absolutely in love with life! I feel better about it than I have ever since before the wreck. Maybe even better. Barry’s wonderful. In fact, he’s skipping his class tonight because he loves me SO much. TEE HEE!

Monday
This past weekend was fun. Saturday was Holly’s fourth birthday and Mary and John had a birthday party for her. Everybody in my family was there except Therese (including Barry). He’s practically a member of the family. We had such a great time.
Barry and I stayed late after everyone left, and visited with John and Mary until 1:00 a.m. or so. We laughed a lot. That was one of the most enjoyable evenings I have ever spent with them. I’ll take that back. It is tied with the night the five of us (including Holly) went to White Water.

Monday

This past weekend was Barry’s annual campout. We would have had it last weekend, but the weather has been bad all month. (October -- RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN!) It was a smaller gathering than last year, but I had every bit as much fun. I physically felt better than I did last year. The only problem was that DeeAnn and Brian couldn’t come at all. We ended up with just Robert and Kevin staying the whole night, but Sherri, Kathleen, Shane and Randall were there until about 12:00 a.m. Before everyone left, all but Sherri, Kathleen and Shane went on a walk. We found an old cemetery (well, Barry knew about it) and we explored it at night. Kevin was really drunk and he was hilarious. He kept saying “How Neat!” “How Neat!” The rest of us stayed up until about 2:30 and woke up at 9:30. (Well, Kevin and I slept the latest. Barry and Robert were up right at 9:00.)
We had breakfast cooked outside, played Mad-Libs, burned everything in sight, and about 1:30, went to Wylie and ate at the Dairy Queen. Kevin and Robert treated Barry and I since we had the party. Wasn’t that sweet?

(2021 - Tracy Delk? Dance Fever? Don't know what that was all about? Ask Tracy?
We got back to Barry’s, cleaned up and went home around 5:00 p.m.
A GREAT TIME!
