Tonight Margaret Haynes (friend at work) & I went to see “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” It was really good!!

The last two nights Cam has been over. Monday nothing occurred unusually but last night was different. It’s unfair. I’m beginning (I do) like Cam a lot ,but I know there’s really no use in us dating, yet I enjoy him so much. Tomorrow he’ll be over all day (like yesterday) coz the mean are installing cable t.v. and I’ll be at work.

He’s been such a doll lately. Last nite we really felt for each other (a weird way to put it). It worries me coz Cam and I have never done more than simple kissing. I really wanted him to stay the nite, but he’s smart and so am I. Cam respects me enough to stop before anything gets out of hand. I get worried sometimes..

Vera and Scott broke up yesterday.

*We didn’t do more than neck, but even just necking became fierce!

Friday, (July 4th) is Tracy’s birthday. I’ll send him a card

*I still love him desperately!!

Last Monday (June 30th) was Tracy & mine anniversary. One year since our big date & first kiss. Friday will be 1 year after 1st date!

Tonite I went & saw “Blues Brothers” in concert. It was great. There were three encores. I went with Scott & Kevin (Quattlebaum). RAWHIDE!

You won’t believe who’s engaged? Scott & Vera. I can’t somehow believe it. (Something tells me it won’t work out). Even though I feel excited for them & want everyone to know, I’m worried.

Cam and I are still seeing each other. It’s weird, because we don’t always get romantically involved, yet I feel more than friends. He’s that way with Sharon Dalton. I think I’m a little jealous. I can’t figure out why he’s been with her so long. I mean, he hasn’t even kissed her in 7 months, yet there’s an understanding between them that’s very evident. I don’t know what I want from him because I know we’d never make it far together.. Yet, I want him to be crazy about me (the way he used to be). (sounds like the deal with Russell). I am silly.

Dee Ann is in deep love with Tim. I hope they make it together for a lot of reasons. I want to love someone too, desperately. And by all means, have the love returned.

Maybe someday!

I found out that about in February, Russell got a girl pregnant, & she had an abortion. I was heart stricken. I still love Russell in many ways, & that hurts to know. The only guy that I believe is a virgin is Tracy. (But I’m not for sure). I still love him. I sent him a birthday card. If he called me on the phone right now at 12:47 a.m. & said he wanted me & needed to see me I’d drive down and jump in his arms in an instant. No hesitation. I’d even skip a day of work. I love him so!

Am I too picky? I don’t think so.

July 14, 1980 (Monday)

I don’t have a lot to say, except that I’m gonna join a Methodist church. St. Paul’s Methodist. That’s the church where I work. Margaret Haynes’s father is the minister, and Vera also goes there. I went Sunday & liked it. I’m staying home from the cabin so I can go.

That’s IT!

Gerald called again tonight. GROSS!

Jim called, but I didn’t get to talk to him.

Work is fine!

July 20, 1980 (Sunday)

Tonight Jim Brownson and I went out. We saw Brubaker (Robert Redford), went to Red Lobster, then went to Willow Bend Country Club to hear a western band. They were great! Jim went to school with all of them. One guy especially I liked. His name is Mike. He plays electric guitar (genius) & sings bass. He’s an adorable doll. Tall, dark haired, smiles beautifully & sweet. I got directions on how to get there, so I can take Dee Ann sometimes. I have got to see him again. I had a real good time. Surprisingly, Jim kissed me good nite and I wasn’t expecting it. He is a good kisser, I’ll have to admit. But, all I know is I want to see Mike again.
