Jumping into January Pt. 2

January 13, 1981 Tuesday

Tonite Carl and I went to see Citizen Kane. I loved it. Afterwards, we went to Lakewood Yacht (sp?) Club. I can’t figure him out. (He didn’t kiss me tonite either). Yet, I’m loving it. I have him baffled. I’ve never had a guy be like this to me. I feel he thinks I’m laughing at him, but I truly think it’s wonderful. Which scares me in a way coz’ I find myself interested in him and I know it’s not for physical reasons (kissing sake). We have so much in common.

He wants me to go to Scott’s party with him, but I have mixed feelings about that.

January 16, 1981 Friday

Today’s the end of Xmas vacation. I started to school on Monday.

Tomorrow nite is Scott’s big bash. I’m going there with Carl, but I’m gonna act myself. I mean, I’m not gonna be with him only. I want to dance with others. If he acts upset about that, then I’ll tell him he’s too serious too fast. But if he’s flexible & doesn’t care, then I’ll keep dating him on more of a platonic basis. (I don’t want to date anyone steady right now - not after how I was treated by Kevin A.) Besides, I still can’t pronounce his last name properly. I Can't wait til tomorrow nite though. It’s gonna be an all-nite party. Mom said I could stay out for all of it!

January 18, 1981 Sunday morn

It’s 6:07 a.m. Sunday morn. I just came in from Scott & Ken’s party. I went with Carl. I had a blast! Carl’s such a neat guy!

Oh, I’m too tired to think. I’ll write later.

January 18, 1981 Sunday

It’s now 11:30 p.m. Sunday nite. Tomorrow school starts again.

I talked to Carl tonite on the phone. He sure makes me laugh. He loves to tease me. (I love to tease him). He’s really a very very enjoyable person. We have a whole lot in common.

But, I’m gonna keep playing it cool, letting him know I’m dating other people frequently. (Whether I am or not).

1) Carl Anthony Scaglioni (think he’s Italian!!)

2) Nobody else

He kissed me last nite. He’s very gentle & sweet. A durn good kisser!
